Ray Frost has shown leadership both within Queensland University of technology(QUT), nationally and internationally. This is evidenced as below: Founding Leader Applied Chemistry Cluster, Leader Inorganic Materials Research Program, QUT representative on AINSE Council (03-07) (Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology). Co-Chairman 2004 International Conference on Raman Spectroscopy (ICORS) held in 2004 on the Gold Coast. President Australian Clay Mineral Society. Ray Frost has an international reputation in clay science.
Ray Frost is a specialist in several major areas of chemistry including Clay science, Nanomaterials, Mineral Chemistry and Mineral Structure. Ray Frost was the second person to be awarded a Doctorate of Science by QUT and the first person in the Faculty of Science.Ray Frost together with colleagues has obtained very significant and large research grants over a long period of time. Ray Frost, on average, has published 50 papers per annum for the last six years. And has published more than 40 papers per year for the last 12 years.
The citation of Ray Frost has increased significantly with time.
